Applications for the Elderly Support Program (YADES 2023), which will evaluate the projects to be prepared by the municipalities to protect, support and facilitate the lives of older persons, have started.
Our Minister of Family and Social Services Derya Yanık stated that peer bullying is a subject they are working on and said, "One of the topics we will talk about at the Children's Council, which we will hold for the first time in Türkiye, is peer bullying. But without waiting the council, our friends have already started working. We are trying to raise awareness about this. We are working on how we can carry out the process together with our Ministry of National Education. We will announce the results of our work on this in the coming period."
Our Minister of Family and Social Services, Derya Yanık, announced that after the new regulation in the civil servant salary coefficient in January, old-age pension within the scope of social service models increased to 1,997 TL, the disability pension between 40-69% to 1,594 TL, the disability pension of 70% or more to 2,392 TL, Home Care Allowance to 4,336 TL, and Social Economic Support (SED) payment to 3.038 TL.
An awareness program was held within the scope of the Beyaz Baston Persons with Visual Impairment Week, in cooperation with our Ministry, the Turkish White Crescent Association and Üsküdar Municipality.
Our Minister of Family and Social Services, Derya Yanık, announced that they started to deposit a total of 1 billion 847 million TL Home Care Allowance into accounts this month in order to provide economic support to citizens with severe disabilities and their families in need of care.
A total of 18 billion TL Home Care Allowance was paid by the Ministry of Family and Social Services in 2022. As of December, 42,232 persons with visual impairments benefited from this allowance.
In order to strengthen the care service provided to persons with disabilities under institutional care by the Ministry of Family and Social Services, approximately 150 personnel working in institutions providing residential and day care services in 81 provinces were given 'Behaviour Shaping and Anger Management’ training.
With the National Action Plan on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities covering the years 2023-2025, prepared by the Ministry of Family and Social Services, 275 activities determined by considering the needs arising from disability, regarding employment, accessibility, education, health, participation in political life, and protection of rights, will be realized.

We are doing our best so that they can live a life where they can exist effectively in all areas of social life as free and independent individuals, and we will continue to do so."
