The Ministry of Family and Social Services guides the future of girls under protection

While 6.423 girls get services in institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Family and Social Services, 4.483 girls are taken care within foster families.

The Ministry provides services for children with many practices ranging from care services to those under state protection, to economic and psychological support to those within their families, from employment to the foster care model.

There are a total of 13.302 children, of which 6.879 are boys and 6.423 are girls, in the institutions affiliated to the Ministry.

According to the Child Protection Law, children receiving services from institutions are provided with care, education, health, protection and consultancy services. Necessary professional activities are carried out regarding the care and development of the child admitted to the institutions, and the implementation plans prepared for the children are followed.

Social, cultural, sportive and educational activities are organized within the scope of services where programs are created that will contribute to the education and psychological and social development of children, and their participation in activities is ensured by taking into account their interests and abilities.

Foster Care Service

A large number of children find a warm home with the "foster care" model, in which the Ministry prioritizes the growth of children in need, especially in a family environment.

With the foster care service, it is ensured that the child, who is under protection and care, goes through the complicated and problematic period without being traumatized and continues her/his normal life in a healthy way. The foster family, in cooperation with the institution, helps the child by ensuring that she/he maintains her/his relations with her/his own family, school and environment.
