2nd Meeting of the Council on Population Policies was held on July 3, 2025, at the Presidential Complex under the chairmanship of H.E. Vice President Cevdet YILMAZ. As the Ministry responsible for the Council Secretariat, H.E. Mahinur ÖZDEMİR GÖKTAŞ, Minister of Family and Social Services, informed the council members about the barriers to maintaining a strong population structure, the ongoing efforts, and potential steps that could be taken.

Minister H.E. Minister Mahinur ÖZDEMİR GÖKTAŞ, Director General of Family and Community Services Mr. Tuncay CEVHEROĞLU, Director General of Social Assistance Mr. Alpaslan ÇEVİK, and Director General of the Family Institute Ms. Ayşenur ÇOBAN attended the council meeting.

During the meeting, efforts and proposals under six main topics: legislation, working life, health, education, economic incentives, and communication & awareness as well as research related to population were discussed. Efforts aimed at protecting the institution of the family and increasing fertility rates within the scope of the 2025 Year of the Family were also evaluated.
