Our Minister Derya Yanık: “We will deposit the increased monthly payments of our social assistance programs into the accounts of our beneficiaries”


Our Minister of Family and Social Services, Derya Yanık, announced that after the new regulation in the civil servant salary coefficient in January, old-age pension within the scope of social service models increased to 1,997 TL, the disability pension between 40-69% to 1,594 TL, the disability pension of 70% or more to 2,392 TL, Home Care Allowance to 4,336 TL, and Social Economic Support (SED) payment to 3.038 TL.

Minister Yanık made a statement regarding the payments within the scope of social assistance models with the new regulation in the civil servant salary coefficient in January and said: “We will deposit increased old-age and disability pension, home care allowance and social economic support payments to the accounts of the beneficiaries.”

Minister Yanık said that in 2023, they will continue to improve their capacity and services regarding social services and assistances targeting the whole society, to develop new service models and areas, and to find solutions to new challenges and risks that may arise.

Minister Yanık stating that with the increase in social assistance payments, old-age pension increased from 1,536 TL to 1,997 TL, said: “On the other hand, the pension of citizens with a disability between 40-69 percent increased from 1,226 TL to 1,594 TL, and the pension of citizens with a disability report of 70 percent or more increased from 1,840 TL to 2,392 TL.”

Minister Yanık also stated that the pension for the relatives of persons with disabilities under the age of 18, increased from 1,226 TL to 1,594 TL.

Home Care Allowance Increased to 4,336 TL

Underlining that an average of 560,000 persons with disabilities are provided with Home Care Allowance per month, Minister Yanık said that Home Care Allowance has increased from 3.336 TL to 4.336 TL for the January-July period of 2023.

Stating that they act with the vision of a society that leaves no one behind, within the framework of the Vision of the Century of Türkiye, Minister Yanık said that they have provided a total of 18 billion TL of Home Care Allowance in 2022.

Social Economic Support payment increased

Emphasizing that they are primarily based on the principle of supporting children with their families, Minister Yanık said that they provide Social and Economic Support (SED) services to families in need for their children. Minister Yanık said: “The amount of economic support per child in the SED service increased from an average of 2,337 TL to 3,038 TL. In addition, the monthly average of payments made to foster families per child was increased from 3,644 TL to 4,853 TL.”

Individuals are supported by various service and social assistance models

Emphasizing that low-income individuals and families are supported in line with their needs with the social service models implemented, Minister Yanık said:

“We support disadvantaged groups with various service and social assistance models. After the new regulation in the civil servant salary coefficient in January, old-age pension within the scope of social service models increased to 1,997 TL, the disability pension between 40-69% to 1,594 TL, the disability pension of 70% or more to 2,392 TL, Home Care Allowance to 4,336 TL, and Social Economic Support (SED) payment to 3.038 TL. After the new regulation, we will deposit the increased monthly payments of our social assistance programs into the accounts of our beneficiaries.”
