2030 Barrier-Free Vision Document Will Guide Policies and Services for Persons with Disabilities


Derya YANIK, Minister of Family and Social Services, said: “With the 2030 Barrier-Free Vision Document, we are presenting Turkey's vision of becoming a society where persons with disabilities can realize their potential as equal citizens.”

The "2030 Barrier-Free Vision Document", prepared under the coordination of the Ministry of Family and Social Services, will guide the policies to be developed and the services to be provided for the persons with disabilities until 2030.

Derya YANIK, Minister of Family and Social Services, said that the document, prepared with the views of responsible state institutions and organizations, consists of 31 aims and 107 action fields under 8 titles which are: “Inclusive and Accessible Society”, “Protection of Rights and Justice”, “Health and Well-Being”, “Inclusive Education”, “Economic Security”, “Independent Living”, “Disaster and Humanitarian Emergencies”, and “Implementation and Monitoring” during her statement on 2030 Barrier-Free Vision Document announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

 YANIK, Minister of Family and Social Services who said: "With this work, we are presenting Turkey's vision to become a society where persons with disabilities can realize their potential as equal citizens" emphasized the fact that with the document revealing the rights-based approach, it is aimed to strengthen the understanding of being an inclusive society where persons with disabilities can realize their potential as equal citizens.  

 YANIK, Minister of Family and Social Services, said: "The Barrier-Free Vision Document is planned to be implemented with three-year action plans. Preparations for the plan that will ensure the effective implementation and monitoring of the document continue with the participation of all parties. The National Action Plan for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities is scheduled to enter into force in 2022."
