Department of Children's Rights




The Duties of the Department of Children’s Rights are as follows:

Cooperating with official and voluntary organizations for the preparation of national reports and reports on the optional protocols for the Convention on the Rights of the Child, in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child,

Organizing campaigns, forums, conferences, congresses, seminars, symposiums, social, cultural and artistic events, etc. through Provincial Child Committees on the Rights of the Child established in each province under the coordination of the Directorate General of Child Services of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services in order to teach and implement the principles and provisions of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in all segments of society, including adults and children, and to enable effective children's participation in all matters concerning children,

Printing and distributing written and visual materials in order to increase awareness of children's rights by the society and to raise awareness,

Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of children's rights at national and international level,

Carrying out the procedures to ensure the compliance of the laws regarding the child with the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
